It buys the stronger thinking models, twice the room per paste, fuller tools and no ads. My take: if you're not gonna pay 20 bucks, you're playing the wrong game. Go at $8 buys more Free, not Plus Go is the middle rung. It keeps Free's brain: OpenAI's Go article says Think uses GPT-5.6 Luna and that Go does not include GPT-5.6 Sol. What Go adds is room: the 54K context, full uploads and images, scheduled tasks. My read: Go buys more room for the same brain, and Plus is where you pay for quality. I've never paid for Go myself.
